DOMINICA: Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar suggests BCCI to consider young Indian pacer Umran Malik in the Indian test team. He added that a player like Malik who bowls at 150 km per hour can make a huge difference in the game.
Umran Malik has performed well for India in white-ball cricket. However, he has not yet made his debut in the longer format of the game. Manjrekar also added that the Indian team should learn how to use fast bowlers from Pakistan and England. He urged BCCI to use the star bowler in a low-profile series. He even compared him with English pacer Mark Wood.
'Malik was not able to perform well in the last IPL season. Maybe that's why the speedster was not considered in the series with Windies. He can bowl at 150 km per hour and these balls will put pressure on the batsmen. If such pacers are used properly, it will not be easy to stop the Indian team', he added.
