The area was flooded after the Gagar river in Bhati village overflowed. After seeing the MLA who came here, the angry woman slapped him asking why he had come now. The people present there were also trying to attack the MLA. The police trying to stop them can be seen in the video. The woman said the area was flooded due to the rupture of the small dam but if the MLA had tried, it would not have collapsed. Singh said that he was trying to understand the people there by telling them that the dam ruptured due to heavy rain. The MLA said no action will be taken against those who beat him. Many villages in Punjab and Haryana were under water as the Gagar river overflowed due to heavy rains.
