THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man who fled from police was found dead. The deceased has been identified as Prakashan alias Hariprakash (52) of 'Thara' in Kaippally Nagar in Thamburanmukku near the general hospital. He was missing since Wednesday. He used to go to some places without notice from time to time so no one bothered.

Locals saw two people drinking on the top floor of an empty house near Prakashan's house on Tuesday night and informed the building owner. Then, as informed by the owner, when the police arrived. As per initial assumption, Prakashan may have fallen down while trying to escape by crossing the nearby wall. As the person who was with him was drunk, the police warned him and let him go.

Prakash's pet dog found the dead body, which was more than a day old, behind the house of retired teacher Jyothi in Thampuranmuk Kaipally Nagar. The dog brought Prakash's mother Annamma to the spot. Prakash made a living by renting out shops and selling milk in flats. He has been separated from his wife for a long time. Father: Late Kumaresan. Daughter: Anamika. The body was shifted to the Medical College Hospital after the inquest. An autopsy will be conducted today. The police registered a case of unnatural death.
