KOCHI: Sailor Abhilash Tommy was denied entry to Kochi International Marina, a part of KTDC in Bolgatti. He informed about the denial of entry through Twitter.
‘Went to Kochi Marina today with my mom to show her what size of boat I sailed the last GGR. I wasn’t allowed in. At least not in the first attempt.’- he tweeted. The tweet is being widely discussed on social media.

Abhilash Tomy is the first Asian to win the Golden Globe race. Son of Lieutenant Commander VC Tommy and Valsamma. Abhilash officially retired from the Navy in January 2021. He got several honours like the Medal of Honor, Navy Medal, McGregor Medal and Tenzing Norway National Adventure Award.
