MALA: A student who was traveling with her mother on a scooter to participate in the PG convocation died after being hit by a KSRTC bus. The deceased has been identified as Aishwarya (24), daughter of Areekadan Babu, hailing from Aloor. Jinsi, her mother, is undergoing treatment in critical condition.

The accident took place under the Aloor flyover at around 8 am yesterday. While trying to overtake the scooter, the bus, which was coming from Mala to Aloor, hit it. Aishwarya, who was the pillion rider, fell under the bus and her mother, who was driving it, fell on the opposite side.

Aishwarya was a student of BE College in Mala. She was going to participate in the PG convocation at St. Joseph's College, Iringalakuda. Her mother Jinsi is a teacher at St. Joseph's English Medium School in Aloor. His brother Anthony is a fourth standard student of the same school.
