Full version of the Facebook post(roughly translated)
M T's Navathi is a proud moment for Kerala. Only a few people have contributed so much to the sustainability of our culture. MT has a unique role in marking Malayalam in the vast arena of world literature. He made immeasurable contributions not only as a writer but also as a newspaper editor and filmmaker.
Along with literature, M T also played a major role in reviving the cultural sector of Kerala. He became the chairman of Tunchan Memorial Trust and led many cultural activities as part of this. Tunchan Parambu located at Tirur became the center of attention on the Indian literary map through National Literary Festivals organised under the leadership of M T.
His literary and cultural activities have always been firmly rooted in democratic, secular and progressive stances. Throughout his life, M T rigorously opposed to orthodox values and communalism. The strength of this stance has convinced us that Tunchan Parambu was able to maintain the secular nature of the land by overcoming many narrow interventions.
M T conveyed his vision through literary works with emotional fervor and feeling. Literature is a powerful tool to unite people's minds. M T's works need to be read again and again in the new era of hate politics that poisons the literature. M T has set a cultural model with his own life. We should be inspired from it. Heartfelt wishes to dear M T.
