THRISSUR: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court has penalised the mother in the case of the teenager driving a two-wheeler. The court ruled that she should pay a fine of Rs 26,000 or face five days in jail. The punishment is under Sections 194 (c and d) of the Motor Vehicles Act. The father was dropped from the case as the scooter belonged to the mother.
The incident took place on the 20th of January in Thrissur. The motor vehicle department caught the boy while driving the vehicle at excessive speed without wearing a helmet.
Recently, KSRTC was also fined by MVD for sticking cooling tapes on the rear glass of the bus. Gajraj Bus, Swift's luxury service, was fined.
