THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Biju Prabhakar has asked the Chief Secretary to remove him from the post of KSRTC MD. He also asked the Chief Secretary to appoint a separate MD for KSRTC. A decision in this regard will be taken after hearing the case in the High Court on 20th of this month. He approached the government demanding his removal from the post of MD after the workers marched to his house to protest against the delay in salary.

Transport Minister Antony Raju said that he came to know about the CMD's resignation through the media. CMD has not spoken a word about this. The minister also stated that the crisis will be resolved only if the money announced by the government is paid correctly.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister K N Balagopal has come to the forefront admitting the crisis in KSRTC. He ascertained that KSRTC is going through difficulties and crises. CMD's request for leave is an official matter. This has not come to the attention of the government yet. The delay in payment of salary was due to technical reasons. The minister also added that the first phase of salary has been given.
