Earlier, speculations went rife after actor Mohanlal posted an image on his Instagram page with Bollywood director Karan Johar. However, after quite some usual babbling from fans and news portals, the news was laid to rest. Alas, it seems like those images shared by the veteran actor were a prelude to what was coming. Bollywood director Karan Johar has confirmed 'Vrushabha’, which will be actor Mohanlal’s first pan-Indian movie to date. Actor Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor will play the female protagonist, with the movie having an ensemble cast including Tamil actress Simran and Roshann Meka.
Karan Johar was all jubilant while heaping praise on Shanaya Kapoor for her impending dream debut with actor legend Mohanlal. The director also thwarted any attempt to paint her debut nepotism, as he elucidated about Shanaya’s tryst with acting since childhood. Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore will be directing the movie which Mohanlal described as the most "prestigious project" in his career. The movie will be released across 6000 screens and is produced by AVS studios, Balaji Telefilms, and First Step Movies.
“#VRUSHABHA is a pan Indian spectacle that will wow the world with its narrative and breathtaking visuals …" posted Karan Johar on Instagram.
