DUBLIN: A Malayali woman was found murdered in Wilton near Cork City in Ireland. Deepa Dinamani (38) was found stabbed to death at 10 pm on Friday night in her house located at Cardinal Court Residential area in Wilton. Deepa Dinamani is a native of Palakkad. The police have arrested her husband Rijin (41). A case has been registered under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. The reason that led to the crime is not known. Deepa has a five-year-old son. A family liaison officer has been appointed to take care of the couple’s son.

A special team from the State Pathologist Office examined the spot and recovered the knife used for the murder. Her body has been shifted to Cork University Hospital for the post mortem. Only when her son, who was with Deepa’s friends returned home, the tragic news was known. The accident spot has been sealed.

After getting a job as an accountant in a fund services company in Cork, Deepa and her son moved into a rented house in Cardinal Court a few months ago.

The Malayalee Association in Cork said they will cooperate with the Indian Embassy in Ireland to bring her body to her hometown.
