KOZHIKODE: Congress leader K Muraleedharan MP ridiculed the seminar organised by the CPM in Kozhikode against the uniform civil code. Muraleedharan quipped that the day after the Chandrayaan launch, the seminar organised by the CPM was a total failure and that there is no point in blaming the Congressmen for it. He said the arrangement aimed at the vote bank had backfired and the Congress had earlier warned them not to shine. The arrangement aiming vote bank had the opposite effect, mocked Muraleedharan.

‘The day after the Chandrayaan 3 launch, the seminar organised by the CPM was a total failure. There is no point in blaming the Congressmen for that. The CPI's national council meeting yesterday said that it is not right to respond without seeing the bill. They have also said that no one should try to be over smart in the name of that. The Congress also said the same. An official decision will be taken in collaboration with others to oppose the law. The next day, a meeting of twenty-four parties will be held in Bengaluru. The matter on its agenda was now taken up and the convention held. Many in the LDF did not participate. Many allies of the LDF including its convenor stayed away, clarified Muraleedharan.
