THRIKKAKARA: An accused in Varappuzha women trafficking case has been arrested again in a fresh case. The arrested has been identified as Zacharia (53), who lives in a flat near Thrikkakara temple. A case was registered under the complaints of two women.

A probe was underway for an alleged abuse of a Kakkanad native woman when a Kozhikode native lodged a new complaint. As per her complaint, she was subject to sexual abuse at his flat and later at a bar hotel.

After escaping his custody, the woman was pestered by Zacharia on social media.

The police arrested the accused, who was in hiding in a lodge in Nedumbassery after switching off his mobile phone.
