KOZHIKODE: Congress Mukkam Block Committee has filed a complaint with vigilance and police against CPM former MLA George M Thomas in the case of financial irregularities. As the crimes found by the inquiry commission of CPM were serious, it seems like the party has abandoned George M Thomas and therefore a vigilance investigation is confirmed.

The main allegation is that a rich accused was removed with the help of a police officer to escape a POCSO case. There is also a complaint that 25 lakhs were received from him. The police officer who cooperated in the molestation case will also be jailed. It was found that the official was bought land and a resort in Wayanad under a binami.

When the allegations were raised, the CPM district committee protected George M Thomas and the Thamarashery area committee forwarded the complaints to the state committee. The secretariat took action after the allegations were proven to be true in the evidence collection of the commission appointed by the state committee. Congress will start a strike demanding a vigilance investigation against George M Thomas, DCC President K Praveen Kumar said.

• When there was a dispute between the accused in the POCSO case and his brother, the transaction of 10 crores was arbitrated.
• 25 lakhs were received from the recipient of the money for the construction of a local committee office building.
• Accepting such an amount of money from a person is against party rules.

• Took 1 lakh from the locals as an intermediary to widen the road.
• Quarry owners were made to buy materials for building house.
