THRISSUR: Sheela Sunny who was falsely jailed for the fake drug case lashed out at the excise department for their incompetence. She said the excise is delaying the arrest of the real culprit behind the drug scam and showed signs of dubiousness with the movement of the case.
Earlier, the lab test revealed that the seized goods were not any synthetic drugs shattering the Excise stance. However, even after the findings, the excise is still moving at sloth pace with the investigation says Sheela. She will soon write a complaint to the CM and the DGP. The investigation team has earlier warned Sheela to not address the press in this case but she came out from the warning, in fear of a toppling attempt from certain excise officers. Sheela's close relative was accused to be the brain behind the drug scam but the excise is not proceeding with an arrest.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Beauticians came forward in support of Sheela. They beseeched the government to expel the excise officers from service who weaved plans that saw Sheela spent 72 days in jail. The federation also asked the government to provide compensation for Sheela and additional financial aid to help her start another beauty parlor in the city.
