Our relationship started with my father C K Menon. Later he maintained a good cordial relationship with me. One of the characteristics of Oommen Chandy was that he could remember all the people he met by name.

'The people of Kerala always held him close to heart as he was a hard-working man with foresight and strong will'. J K Menon recalled that he left this world with many achievements and progress for the country. J K Menon said in his eulogy that Oommen Chandy's demise has created an irreparable gap in Kerala politics.
