NEW YORK: An Indian-origin man has been sentenced to life for ramming his car into a vehicle killing three teenage boys. Police said Anurag Chandra (45) of California committed the murder after the boys played a doorbell prank on him.

The incident happened on January 19 in 2020 on Temescal Canyon Road. The three boys killed were aged 16 and three others sustained injuries. The boys went to Chandra’s house and played a prank by ringing the doorbell. When Anurag opened the door, they escaped in their car. The investigation revealed that the accused, enraged by this, took his car, chased them and then rammed into their vehicle. Anurag Chandra was charged with multiple charges like murder and attempted murder. After three years of the incident, the court pronounced the sentence in the case.
