BENGALURU: Five suspected terrorists who planned to carry out a series of attacks across the city have been arrested in Bengaluru. The accused were nabbed by the Central Crime Branch (CCB). Explosives, weapons and many mobile phones were seized from them. The five arrested are Sayed Suhel, Umar, Junaid, Mudasir and Jahid. They were arrested during an investigation conducted after the CCB received information that some people were planning to carry out explosions in the city.

The police said that all the five arrested were accused in a 2017 murder case and were in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail and came in contact with terrorists in the jail. It is believed that they received training in using explosives from them. It is also believed that the accused got the help of some others. The police are trying to find them.
