MOSCOW: Russia tightens security protocol for flights from Egypt. Russia's move is after reports of an unknown disease spreading in Egypt. The Egyptian Ministry of Health reported that about 250 people were infected in the village of Al-Alekat in Qena Governorate. Information about the unknown disease came out on Saturday. The main symptoms are fever, headache, fatigue, and abdominal pain. Symptoms are found to vary from person to person. Nobody required serious hospitalization as the severity of symptoms was generally mild.

The symptoms last for up to five days and can also lead to bone pain in some. It is not clear what disease they are suffering from currently. The health ministry said samples were collected from people who showed symptoms and their surroundings to identify the disease. At the same time, authorities say that there is no cause for concern and the symptoms are the same for diseases such as influenza, gastroenteritis, and fever that spread widely during the hot season.

It can be cured with adequate rest and treatment. At the same time, Russian authorities have proposed that the disease spreading in Egypt may be dengue fever, and therefore stricter hygiene standards should be followed on board. Russia issued instructions to citizens planning to visit Egypt also. In order to avoid infectious diseases spread by insects including mosquitoes, it is recommended to use clothing that protects the skin as much as possible and protective systems such as mosquito nets.
