BHOPAL: A man was forced to spend Rs 6,000 for boarding the Vande Bharat train to use the toilet. The incident took place at the Bhopal station on July 15. Hyderabad native Abdul Qadir and his family reached the Bhopal station during their journey from Hyderabad to Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh. Soon after reaching the Bhopal station, Abdul Qadir felt the urgent need to pee. He then got into a Vande Bharat to use the toilet. However, he was shocked to find that the train had started moving when he came out of the toilet. He was unable to get out of the train as the doors were locked.

Following this, he approached three ticket collectors and four police officers seeking help to get out of the train. However, they told him that only the loco pilot could open the doors of the train. Although Abdul Qadir attempted to approach the loco pilot, he was not allowed to go near the loco pilot due to security reasons. Eventually, he was forced to pay a fine of Rs 1020 for boarding the Vande Bharat train without a ticket. He managed to get out of the train when it stopped at Ujjain. Abdul Qadir then returned to Bhopal on a bus by spending Rs 750.

In the meantime, Abdul Qadir's wife and son, who were waiting for Abdul Qadir, did not board the Dakshin Express train that they had booked for the journey from Bhopal to Singrauli. Abdul had booked tickets worth Rs 4000 on the Dakshin Express. Thus, he ended up losing a total of Rs 6000 for using the toilet in the Vande Bharat train.
