MUMBAI: Amid heavy rains, 12 dead in a landslide in Maharashtra's Raigad. More than 100 people are missing. More than 20 houses are underground. 103 people have been identified among the missing. The said incident happened last night.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the place and assessed the situation. He said that efforts are being made to rescue the trapped people. Red alert has been declared in Raigad, Thane, Pune and Palghar districts. Holidays have been announced for schools. The weather department has announced that the rain will continue for a few more days. Meanwhile, waterlogging continues in Gujarat's Rajkot due to continuous rains. Widespread rain is likely in Telangana and an orange alert has been issued. In Odisha too, there was waterlogging due to the incessant rains for a long time. There is continuous rainfall in Goa too.
