IMPHAL: One more person has been arrested in the incident of stripping women naked, gang-raping one of them and killing her brother who came to stop the act. With this, the total number of people arrested in the incident has risen to four. Huirem Heradas Singh (32) was arrested on Thursday morning. Police informed that in addition to him, three people were also arrested. Huirem is the youth in the green t-shirt who is seen in the video dragging the naked girl. The four were arrested after 77 days of the incident that shamed the country.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh informed that death penalty would be ensured for the accused. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Biren Singh. After the video went viral, there were huge protests across the country. People dressed in black took out a huge rally in Churachandpur, a conflict zone in Manipur.

Meanwhile, Twitter has removed the video of the incident following a request from the Center and the National Commission for Women. The women's commission registered a suo moto case and asked Manipur DGP to take immediate action.
