VELLARADA: A KSRTC driver was sacked for making girl students wash the bus. SN Shiji, the temporary driver of KSRTC Neyyattinkara depot, has been sacked from service. The action was taken following the report of the vigilance officer who investigated the incident.

The students, who are siblings, were on their way home from a dental appointment when the younger girl fell sick and vomited inside the bus. The driver, who scolded the girls for vomiting inside the bus, forced the girl's sister to clean up the bus causing further distress to the already ill child and her sibling. The girls were able to leave the Vellarada depot after cleaning the inside of the bus. The authorities took action against the driver after the incident became controversial. The girls are the daughters of a KSRTC driver at Vellarada depot.
