IMPHAL: Some shocking information are being reported from Manipur. More information is coming out in connection with the gangrape of an 18-year-old girl. The complaint is that women helped in sexually abusing the girl. The incident happened on May 15.

The girl's complaint is that she was gang-raped by armed men in Imphal and a group of women handed her over to them. She alleged that Arambai Tenggol gang was behind the incident. The girl is presently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nagaland. The girl lodged a complaint with the police after the visuals of her naked picture came to light. The police had registered an FIR on July 21 in connection with it.

Meantime, the visuals and reports of unparalleled brutality are emerging from Manipur. The news of two women subjected to brutal rape and murdered in Kangpokpi district surfaced on May 4. Women aged 21 and 24 working in a car wash firm were dragged away by a group of women, then gangraped and killed.

National media reported that women in the group encouraged the attack. Although the case was registered, there was no indication of the accused in the FIR. It is also alleged that the FIR was handed over to the station where the incident took place after a month. The brutal incidents started coming out after the internet was restored in Manipur.
