KOZHIKODE: A holiday has been declared for educational institutions in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts in the wake of heavy rain warning. District Collector informed that tomorrow (Monday) will be a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Kozhikode district.

The holiday also applies to Anganwadis. There is no change in pre-scheduled exams. Due to waterlogging and strong winds in many places, and the water rising steadily on the river banks, all educational institutions including professional colleges will have a holiday tomorrow.
The Collector said that since it is a holiday, the parents should control the children from going out unnecessarily and should be careful not to enter the rivers or river valleys in the vicinity under any circumstances.

District Collector Dr. Renuraj informed that tomorrow will be a holiday for educational institutions in Wayanad district. The holiday is not applicable for pre-scheduled exams and PSC exams. The holiday was declared in view of the possibility of heavy rain in Wayanad district. Heavy rain is predicted at isolated places in the district today. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain at isolated places in Wayanad district on Monday and Yellow Alert has been announced in the district tomorrow.
