THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI leader C Divakaran asked Shibu Baby John's RSP to make a return to LDF at an event here on Sunday. The CPI leader was talking at the N. Sreekantan Nair memorial function in Thiruvananthapuram when he rolled the red carpet for RSP to return to LDF. Interestingly Shibu Baby John approached the podium and gave a repartee saying it is better to stick with UDF than be a laughing stock in LDF. Later Shibu invited C Divakaran to join UDF.

“People like Shibu Baby John are always welcome to LDF. These people are strong in ideology and don't shift allegiance often. RSP’s inclusion into LDF is a requisite for strengthening the left power base in the state” Divakaran said.

Shibu Baby John performed the inauguration of the function. C. Divakaran, writer George Onakkoor, and veteran media worker Thomas Jacob delivered a memorial lecture on Sreekantan Nair. RSP leaders Babu Divakaran, Eravoor Prasannakumar, KS Sanalkumar, Vishnu Mohan, Mohammad Amin, K. Jayakumar, and others participated.

Hereafter, the RSP state committee office will be known as N. Sreekantan Nair memorial building.
