PATNA: A three-year-old boy who fell into a 50-foot deep borewell while playing with his friends was rescued. The incident took place on Sunday in Bihar's Nalanda district. Shivam Kumar, a three-year-old boy who came with his mother to work at the farm, fell into a fifty-foot borewell.

As soon as the incident happened, the children who were with him ran and informed the child's mother. Then various security forces reached the spot and started trying to save the child. National Disaster Management Authority team members also arrived. After eight hours of hard work, Shivam Kumar was brought out.

Nalanda District Magistrate Shashank Subhaskar informed that the child is healthy. The child fell into a borewell that a farmer dug in his farm. The farmer abandoned the well without capping it off because there was no water in it. The district administration had taken measures including giving oxygen to the child who fell into the tube well. The district administration stated that it was a great relief that the child was saved alive.
