NEW DELHI: Both houses of Parliament were in agitation today over the Manipur conflict. All the opposition parties demanded the government to reply on the issue. The speaker approved Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to make the address. Meanwhile, Chaudhary demanded that Prime Minister Modi should make a statement in this regard in the House.

Speaker Om Birla said that the entire House is ready for discussion and should not interrupt the question and answer session. He also said that the government will respond n but the opposition should not decide who should answer. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar has suspended Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh for repeatedly defying the chair's instructions. Meanwhile, opposition parties and BJP members staged separate protests under the statue of Gandhi in Parliament.
