Mukesh Ambani, one of India's richest men, is always in the news for his luxurious houses and vehicles. Ambani's garage has a huge collection of expensive and imported luxury cars.

Mukesh Ambani, though, prioritizes high levels of protection in vehicles over luxury. He has been using bulletproof vehicles for several years. Recently, he bought a new car. The latest addition to Ambani's garage is the Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard. This is not the first time that Ambani has bought a bullet-proof Mercedes sedan. Before the S680, he had bought the S600 Guard for around Rs 10 crore.

The Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard is a VPAM VR 10-approved vehicle that ensures ballistic safety for civilian vehicles. Apart from bulletproof protection, the S680 Guard also has systems that ensure safety even in the event of an explosion. Although the Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard looks like a regular S-Class, it weighs an additional two tons due to the protective materials used in the normal body shell of the vehicle.

The vehicle has bullet blast-proof multilayer glass which is around four inches thick. Each door of the car weighs around 250 kg. Even if the tyre is punctured while traveling at a speed of up to 80 kmph, the vehicle can travel a distance of 30 km in that condition. The vehicle also has an onboard intercom for communication with the driver, a fire extinguisher, and a compressed fresh air tank. The vehicle reportedly weighs up to 4.2 tonnes.

Mercedes has equipped Benz S680 Guard with a 6.0 liter-V12 engine that generates 612 Ps power and 830 Nm of peak torque.
