NEW DELHI: Parliament proceedings came to a standstill for the fourth day as the opposition demanded a discussion on the Manipur issue.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm following the opposition uproar. The Rajya Sabha also rejected the notices demanding a discussion on the Manipur issue.

The Opposition raised slogans in the Lok Sabha demanding the Prime Minister to speak up on the Manipur issue. The opposition MPs are calling for the Prime Minister to speak out on the Manipur issue, despite the BJP's assertions that the Centre is willing to discuss the matter and that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will make a statement.

"The Opposition is not satisfied with the Prime Minister's statement on the Manipur issue. The Prime Minister must speak in Parliament to end the deadlock in Parliament. We hope he will speak." JDU leader KC Tyagi said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Opposition over the name INDIA. He said that even the East India Company and Indian Mujahideen have the word 'India' in them. The Prime Minister also said that the Opposition has no sense of direction.
