THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran will file a defamation case against CPM state secretary M V Govindan. The legal action is for the remarks made against Sudhakaran in the POCSO case arraigning Monson Mavunkal. He will file the defamation case after appearing in person at the Ernakulam CJM court. The case will be filed after making M V Govindan, Kannur district panchayat chairperson P P Divya and Desabhimani Daily as parties.
In the press meet held in the capital city, Govindan had alleged that K Sudhakaran is co-accused in the POCSO case against Monson Mavunkal, accused in the antiques fraud case. Govindan said that the survivor had stated that K Sudhakaran was there when Monson Mavunkal sexually abused her and that he did not intervene despite knowing it.
Govindan's allegation was that there was news that Sudhakaran's statement would be recorded in the POCSO case. The crime branch had summoned Sudhakaran for interrogation in that case. Govindan while talking to the media said that they don’t want to file a separate case against anyone. Sudhakaran is filing the defamation case against this.
