BENGALURU: In a curious case of fashion overpowering academics, a headmaster from a Karnataka school beseeched a salon owner to stop giving ‘Hebbuli-style’ haircuts to boy students. The move has received accolades from parents and natives.
Shivaji Naik, the headmaster of the high school in Kulahalli in Bagalkot district winced when he saw almost all male students in school sporting Hebbuli-style hairdos; drawing inspiration from Kiccha Sudeep's blockbuster film Hebbuli. As per reports, headmaster Naik in a letter curtly requested salon owner Channappa Siddaramappa to not abide again to school children's requests.
The headmaster says more children are inclined towards the fashion realm of cinemas which has considerably downed their academics. While girl students have shown a remarkable surge in rankings, boys are happily settled in the bottom list. When enquired about the situation, Naik came to notice how these boys revel in serials, sitcoms, and movies while giving little to no effort into their studies.
Thus the headmaster in a bid to reform and upend the results, requested the salon owner to not continue the Hebbuli trend. Surprisingly, salon owner Channappa Siddaramappa hung a board in his shop saying 'No more Hebbuli haircuts to students'.
