NEW DELHI: Focussed on a single agenda to make PM Narendra Modi answer the government's incompetence in Manipur, the opposition is readying a no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. More than 50 opposition leaders have signed hence the resolution won't be rejected.

Parliament proceedings came to a standstill for the fourth day as the opposition demanded a discussion on the Manipur issue. The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm following the opposition uproar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Opposition over the name INDIA. He said that even the East India Company and Indian Mujahideen have the word 'India' in them. The Prime Minister also said that the Opposition has no sense of direction. congress leader Rahul Gandhi went for a return back at PM, saying “Mr. Modi, call us whatever you want... we are 'INDIA.' We will help heal Manipur and wipe away the tears of women and children." Rahul Gandhi expressed through Twitter that love and peace will be extended to all people.

The Congress leadership has issued whips to all party MPs, however, the no-confidence motion is sure to fail. 50 opposition MPs issued a notice asking for detailed discussion inside Rajya Sabha on Manipur, under rule 267 of Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile, union home minister Amit Shah wrote letters to congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge ( Rajya Sabha) and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury( Lok Sabha) to end the ruckus inside the parliament. It was yesterday’s opposition meeting convened by Mallikarjun Kharge that decided to table the no-confidence motion against the government.
