THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Widespread rain has been predicted in the state on Wednesday. Yellow alert has been sounded in eight districts. The warning is for districts from Ernakulam to Kasaragod. There is no special rain warning in other districts including Idukki.
The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of moderate rain in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod in the next three hours.
Meantime, the Central Meteorological Centre has issued flood warning for Karnataka Konkan Goa coasts. The Central Meteorological Centre issued a flood warning in these areas as there are heavy rains. Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh will also receive rain today. A holiday has been announced for educational institutions in Telangana in the wake of heavy rain warning. The Central Meteorological Centre has predicted isolated heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh today.
