NEW DELHI: The opposition is likely to give a notice for a no-confidence motion in Parliament against the central government today. The signatures of MPs in INDIA'S alliance may be collected today. A final decision in this regard will be taken at the meet of the opposition parties to be convened at 10 am today.

The Congress have issued a whip directing all MPs to be present in the parliamentary office. A no-confidence motion requires the support of 50 MPs in the Lok Sabha. Meantime, the ruling front has stated that they are ready for a short discussion under Rule 176 and Amit Shah will speak on the issue. Manipur remains on high alert where internet has been partially restored. Security has also been beefed up in Mizoram, where the Meitei sect is fleeing.

Amit Shah yesterday sent a letter to the Congress asking them to be ready for discussions on the Manipur issue. The letter was given to Mallikarjun Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. Amit Shah's new move comes after Parliament was in turmoil for the fourth day on the Manipur issue. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi hit sharply against the Prime Minister. He said that Modi can call us whatever he wants. We are India. We will bring peace in Manipur. Will wipe the tears of women and children. Rahul Gandhi also stated that the concept of India will be rebuilt in Manipur.
