THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Medical Commission has revoked the approval of 150 MBBS seats at Alappuzha Medical College. The approval for these 150 seats for the new batch was withdrawn after the medical commission conducted an inspection. The University of Health Sciences has informed the Director of Medical Education about the loss of recognition.

According to the report, the reason for the loss of recognition is the shortage of doctors and senior residents. The Government medical college, with half a century of work experience, has lost its recognition.
