KOZHIKODE: The Muslim Coordination Committee's seminar brought together representatives of various political parties, including the CPM, and religious and community leaders on one platform against the Uniform Civil Code. While CPM and Congress leaders sat together in the seminar organized at Kandamkulam Jubilee Hall, the Muslim community organizations also forgot their animosity. It was also noticeable that Jifri Muthukoya, the president of the Samasta faction, who had been clashing with the Muslim League for months on several issues, shared the stage with the League.

District committee member KT Kunjikannan, who came as the representative of CPM, praised the League freely. Even though the League did not participate in the seminar held by CPM in Kozhikode last week, he praised the League repeatedly, which caused huge applause in the audience. Congress leader VT Balrar, who spoke afterward, did not forget to take a dig at the CPM. Balram's said that no one doubts the Congress' stand on the Uniform Civil Code and that some are trying to create confusion regarding it.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Adv Ma Subramanian inaugurated the function. He said that the unity in Kerala against the Uniform Civil Code was exemplary and expressed the support of the Tamil people and the Tamil Nadu government to the struggles of Kerala.
