PATHANAMTHITTA: Afsana, wife of Noushad of Kalanjoor Padam, retracted her statement again in the missing case of her husband. Her new statement is that the body was carried in an auto with the help of her friend. The woman frequently retracting her statement is a challenge for the police.

The woman earlier said contradictory things like she hid the body in the mosque cemetery, threw it in the river, buried at home and had got the help from someone. When questioned last night, she said that she carried the body in an auto.

The police had interrogated Nazir based on her statement. He responded that saying that his body was carried in his auto is a big lie. He told a media that he does not own an auto and does not know how to drive.

An attempt is being made to trap him by giving a false statement. Nasir clarified that he had taken Noushad along with him for work once and did not know anything else. Meantime, the investigation team has decided to take Afsana into custody and interrogate her. She is likely to be subjected for a polygraph test.
