KOZHIKODE: A driver died after an auto overturned when a dog jumped in front of it. The incident happened last evening at Kannukkara in Kozhikode. The dead has been identified as Anil Babu (44) of Puthiya Parambu in Azhiyoor Aavikkara Road.

After the dog jumped across the vehicle, the auto overturned. The locals soon rushed Anil Babu to a private hospital in Vadakara, but his life could not be saved and he died in the night.

Attacks by stray dogs are increasing in the state. Many including children are being attacked daily.
