NEW DELHI: The accused who killed a college student in broad daylight has been arrested. The incident took place in a park near Aurobindo College in Delhi's Malviya Nagar. Nargis (25), a graduate student of Delhi's Kamala Nehru College, who had come to the park with a friend, was killed. The accused Irfan (28), fled from the spot but was caught by the police later.
According to the police, Nargis and Irfan were in a relationship. However, after Nargis' family disapproved of it, she stopped talking to him. The police suspect this might have led to the murder. Nargis died on the spot. The police recovered the iron rod from the spot. Police said that Nargis had several injuries on her head.
