BENGALURU: The BJP has demanded that the case of finding a phone camera in the bathroom of a private paramedical college be handed over to the NIA. The party organized a massive protest rally in Udupi raising this issue. The rally was conducted from the BJP office to the SP office in Udupi. The protesters raised slogans against the government and the Chief Minister demanding justice for the victim.
Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna alleged that there might be a connection with the Popular Front in the case. The MLA claimed that after the ban of the PFI, the PFI women's wing became active and hidden cameras might be a part of their activities. The MLA further demanded that the state government's investigation in the case is not credible and should be handed over to a central agency for a thorough investigation.
BJP also expressed their disapproval of National Commission for Women member Khushbu. Yashpal Suvarna stated that they do not believe she can make an impartial decision on the case and accused her of being misled.
