KANNUR: Khadi Board Vice Chairman and CPM State Committee member P Jayarajan will be given extra security in the wake of Yuva Morcha's death threat slogan. P Jayarajan's use of 'mortuary' in his speech after Yuva Morcha threatened Speaker Shamseer, had started political debates. It was decided to deploy more security personnel after Yuva Morcha raised death threat slogans against P Jayarajan.

P Jayarajan had said that the place of the Yuva Morcha member who raises hands against Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer would be in the mortuary. Jayarajan's remarks were against the challenge made by state general secretary K Ganesh during the Yuva Morcha's march to the MLA camp office in Thalassery alleging Ganapathi blasphemy.

K Ganesh had said that Shamseer may believe that he may not lose his hand as college teacher TJ Joseph did and he should not think that Hindu society will take the same stand forever. Following Jayarajan's response, Yuva Morcha workers raised death threat slogans during a demonstration in Kannur city yesterday evening. Slogans like 'Didn't we show the sharpness of the RSS's sword on a good day, Thiruvonam day?' were used.
