ERNAKULAM: The search for a missing six-year-old girl from Aluva Thaikkattukara continues. Asafak Alam, a native of Assam, who kidnapped the child, has been taken into police custody and is being interrogated. According to reports he has not yet given a clear answer regarding the whereabouts of the child.

According to the police, he was under the influence of alcohol. The child, a daughter of a couple from Bihar went missing around 3.30 pm yesterday. The police had received CCTV footage of Asafak Alam, a native of Assam, who had come to live on rent on the top floor of their house, beating the child.

According to the police, the locals informed that they saw him loading the child into the KSRTC bus.CCTV footage near Aluva Garage Road has now come out.
