CHENNAI: Veteran actress Shobana recently got engulfed in a police case after Rs 41,000 went missing from her house. And now ending all the quibble, the actress has found the real culprit in her housemaid and has decided to pardon her for the crime. Shobana informed the police about her decision after which the case was closed.

Shobana and her mother are currently at their residence in Teynampet. For the past few months, the actress's mother Anandam witnessed her money missing from the lockers. The incident continued for several months unhindered after which the actress decided to put it to a stop. A case was registered in Teynampet police station and a police enquiry at her residence was also conducted. In fear of a possible arrest and public shame, her housemaid admitted to the crime and begged for forgiveness.

According to the report, the housemaid transferred the money to her daughter through Gpay. It was with the assistance of the actress’s driver that the money was transferred. Shobana has decided to deduct the stolen money from the housemaid’s future salary. The case has been wrapped and the house is back in harmony as Shobana continues with her Bharatanatyam practice.
