NEW DELHI: Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan evaded an attack by assailants in Uttar Pradesh. A car rammed into the convoy of the Kerala governor which the police suspect was a clear-cut plan intended to do harm. The incident happened on Friday night when the governor was on his way to Delhi after attending a function in Noida.

At this time, a black Scorpio rammed into the convoy from the wrong side putting the officials into action. However, the governor's vehicle was saved after the other convoy vehicles formed a bulwark making the Scorpio come to a screeching halt. Noida natives Goutham Solangi and Monu Kumar were arrested for the crime. Both of them were in an intoxicated state at the time of the arrest. However, the incident is considered as a major lapse from security officials and a further investigation is in progress.
