ALUVA: The missing five-year-old Chandini’s body was found near the market premise in Aluva. The porters in the market first found a suspicious sack and when untied saw the dead remains of the child. Since yesterday, a search was ongoing to find Bihar native Chandini who went missing from her home in Choornikkara. According to the report, her body was broken and bent in half to fill it in the sack. Further reports will be available only after a detailed forensic investigation.

The arrested culprit Asafak Alam has admitted to selling the kidnapped child to another person for money. Asafak admitted to the police about passing the child to another man named Zakir Hussain. The deal was made through a common friend of theirs. The police have also arrested two accomplices of Assam native Asafak.

According to the police, Asafak was under the influence of alcohol. The child, a daughter of a migrant couple from Bihar went missing around 3.30 pm yesterday. The police had received CCTV footage of Asafak Alam, a native of Assam, who had come to live on rent on the top floor of their house, beating the child.

According to the police, the locals informed that they saw him loading the child into the KSRTC bus.CCTV footage near Aluva Garage Road has now come out. According to police, Asafak is still under the influence of drugs and is yet to turn sober. He earlier denied the police accusation of kidnapping, but only admitted to his shenanigans after the CCTV footage was shown.

Migrant labourer Ramdhar has four children, Chandini was the second among them. Ramdhar and his wife Neetu Kumari returned back from work in the evening and failed to find Chandini at home. This led to a massive search after which the only hope resorted to the police station. A complaint was filed and a search was carried out. Chandini was a 1st standard student at Thaikkattukara School. The family spoke good Malayalam and was cordial with all neighbours in the area.
