silverline

KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has clarified that the state government cannot proceed with the Silver Line project alone. It is not a project that can be implemented solely by the state. The Chief Minister stated that the central government was not responding to the issue. He was inaugurating a development seminar jointly organized by Padyam Gopalan Center for Learning and Research and Kannur District Library Council.

In any case, the project will need to be approved at some point, but it cannot move forward until central approval is obtained. We have witnessed the positive response given to Vande Bharat in this state even when a section was opposing the K-Rail. This reflects the people's desire for better transportation. The chief minister blamed the lack of development at the Kannur airport on the policies of the central government. He alleged that those ruling the Center find comfort in not providing adequate services.

People have faith in LDF and there is an attempt to subvert this public sentiment. The Chief Minister mentioned that some media outlets are forsaking the truth and those pretending to be neutral are constantly spreading lies without any shame.
