ALUVA: Yet another brutal murder took place shocking Kerala. A five-year-old-girl, who went missing was found murdered and dumped in a sack in a garbage heap near the Aluva market. The entire state was further shocked upon learning that the girl was subjected to brutal sexual assault and was strangled to death.

The deceased child is the daughter of a couple from Bihar staying in Mukkath Plaza in Aluva. The girl was playing outside when culprit Asafak Alam, a native of Bihar, befriended her and kidnapped her. The body was found among a pile of garbage behind the Aluva market. Although the police managed to arrest the accused within five and a half hours of the incident, they were not able to find the child.

The child's mother was in the room when the accused abducted the child from the residence near the Thaikkattukara garage around 3:00 on Friday afternoon. The child's father was not at home. The deceased child is the second among the four children of the couple who are natives of Bishamparpur, Bihar. She was studying in Class One at Thaikkattukara School Complex.

Asafaq Alam abducted the child by luring her with the promise of buying her juice at around 3 pm yesterday. The police identified Asafaq abducting the child from CCTV footage and apprehended him in Thottakkattukara around 9:30 in the evening. Asafaq was drunk and unconscious at the time of the arrest, so the police could not obtain any information from him during the night. However, in the morning, workers at Aluva market informed the police that they had seen a man with a child in the market the previous evening.

Asafaq, who became sober in the morning, initially told the police that he had handed over the child to someone named Zakir. However, he later confessed to the crime. Subsequently, around 12 o'clock, the body was found on the banks of Periyar, where garbage is dumped behind the market. Upon receiving the information, the girl's father was brought to the spot and the body was identified.

The body of the child is kept at the mortuary of the Kalamassery Medical College after post-mortem. The body will be brought to Thaikkattukara School Complex for the public to pay homage. The funeral will take place at the Keezhmadu panchayat crematorium. The body will not be taken to the family's rented house.
