MUVATTUPUZHA: Anson Roy, the accused in the incident where college student Namita was hit by a bike does not have a learner's license. The accused's bike kept in Muvatupuzha police station premises was checked by the motor vehicle department and the police. The modified bike does not have a silencer attached and the mirrors and crashguards on both sides of the vehicle have been removed. Officials said that the front part of the bike was completely damaged due to the impact.

11 cases are pending against Anson in various stations, including attempted murder and drug use. Currently, the case has been registered under the charges of involuntary manslaughter and dangerous driving. The accused has caused an accident by driving at excessive speed before.

A female student died after being hit by Anson's bike in front of Muvattupuzha Nirmala College. Namitha (20), daughter of Raghu and Girija, a final year BCom student.
