PESHAWAR: A huge explosion occurred in Pakistan, resulting in a reported death toll of 39 people during a terrorist attack that took place at a party meeting. Many others were injured, with several in critical condition. The blast happened at Khar in Bajauri during a gathering of the UIF party. The attack occurred in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which shares a border with Afghanistan. Approximately 400 people had gathered in the area to attend the meeting and it is estimated that over 100 of them sustained injuries. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. A police officer was killed in another terrorist incident last week in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The suicide blast took place in a mosque under construction near the Afghan border in northwestern Pakistan. There was information suggesting that two terrorists were hiding in the mosque building, which led the police to conduct a search. During the search, one of the terrorists detonated an explosive device, resulting in his death. The police were successful in apprehending the other terrorist. Fortunately, there were no worshippers inside the mosque at the time of the incident. The explosion completely destroyed the mosque.
