actress-assault

KOCHI: High Court will hear the petition of the survivor demanding a thorough investigation into the incident where the hash value of the memory card today. It is a crucial piece of evidence in the case of the attack on the actress was altered. Justice K Babu will preside over the hearing.

The actress filed a petition in the court for an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the unauthorized checking of the memory card three times. The prosecution had also stated in the High Court that it would request an investigation. The prosecution requested to ensure the preservation of the images on the memory card.

However, actor Dileep's contention is that in the forensic examination report, there is a change in the hash value of the memory card, but the images on it remain undamaged. The hash value of the scenes remains unchanged. How can this be investigated when the visuals are unchanged? It appears to be an attempt to unnecessarily prolong the trial of the case indefinitely. The actor had requested in the petition that this should not be allowed.

Yesterday, the High Court had asked the prosecution what was wrong if the memory card was checked while in the custody of the court. Appearing for the prosecution, Director General T A Shaji said that a case could be filed under Section 425 of the Indian Penal Code. The plea was adjourned as the prosecution's argument was incomplete.
